"Masterplan" is a unique percussion ensemble piece that merges elements of contemporary percussion, hip-hop, jazz, and rap. A powerful, fast, and action packed melody, with deep and inspirational lyrics, "Masterplan" entices your musical ear while engaging your mind. Written for 7-9 players, the piece requires a small percussion ensemble, drumset player, and rapper. The rhythm of the lyrics are notated in the score, but feel free to have another rapper come ine and use their own lyrics. The work also requires skill in improvisation as there is a solo section trading between the vibraphone player and the drumset!  Enjoy this unique and rare blend of musical styles!
